I've been known to frequent back alleys, looking for red neon lights above some dreary looking brick building. Let me just clarify by saying that their are all kinds of back alley services offered, and quite frankly there's no shortage of extra curricular activities one can experience with a little sense of adventure and a can of Mase.
And although I've been tempted on several occasions to get one of those "massages" -I am budget conscious after-all, I'm referring in this particular post to a clairvoyant, or "crazy-new-age-thief" as my Dad likes to call them.
Anyone that knows me personally, knows that I like to entertain the fact that I'm quite the psychic phenomenon myself. I can predict with uncanny certainty that when I wake up, I'll have to use the loo. My predictions are so accurate, that I've predicted a client's 12 lbs weight loss before it happened.
This is what led me to discover the better than my Grandma's apple pie greatness, that is my psychic. Forget, that she doesn't remember my name, or face?or the most noticeable gap tooth-smile ever! Ooh or that I make an appointment with her practically every quarter. The point is, every time I've left her office -kitchen table decorated pre-1970's shabby chic, I feel earnestly renewed and excited about life. I would go so far as to say completely born again.
My last reading was some epic 'ish, based on her future prediction, I should be charging more since I'm destined for FAME?but only after I've gone through a series of tests. I'm coming into a whole leap of money. Apparently, I might as well order my money tree right now and plant it in the backyard, that kinda rich.
Of course what reading would be accurate without the makings of the next best selling novel without discussing love and relationships. Well, I'm happy to report my love life takes a dramatic turn in the next few months. Now, that I think about it, strange how she didn't say if it was in the next 6, or 76 months?
What else? no one dies, I live a long and happy life in complete and utter prosperity. At least until the next quarter. So why is seeing a psychic great for fat loss? Because they never tell you anything bad. At least, in my experience the good ones don't.
Sure, they'll wave some small red flag, usually about the asshole that dumped you three years ago, and to be careful as he may appear in your life again. Now, I don't know about you, but every single one of my exes has "appeared" in my life again at some point and it's never been a good thing.
Psychics are really good at creatively weaving whatever the interpretations of your cards say to positively impact you and your emotions. Which in turn creates a positive vibration that puts you in forward motion to reaching your goals. I mean, really, the card of Death (yes, I know a little more about this stuff than I should) has many different meanings. Most people think it symbolizes someone that dies in their life. In reality is means change. Or more aptly the death of something for a new beginning.It's the Law of Attraction at it's most basic level. They plant the seed, and you harvest the messages and start to think about it and all of sudden you believe it. Mainly, because someone else told you it was possible.
No different than how I can "predict" my clients success based on a number of conditions. Where their commitment level is at? Whether they're determined to do anything to get there? I can tell how quickly, and even by how much my clients will lose simply based on the language they use. Creepy right?! I've learned to live with my curse for years.
I know in my head that you can reach your goals, but what truly makes all the difference is if YOU believe you can reach your goals. Sometimes you just need a cheerleader in your corner to say you can and be your fat loss wingman.
So the take-away?get out of your own way and get someone on your side who believes in you and wants nothing but your success. And if you can't find that then option number 2. see a psychic to put a little bounce in your step, so you can take on some of your bigger challenges.
If she asks you for the amount of a small ransom to reunite you with the above mention SOB who dumped you three years ago, don't fall for it?I still get a small twinge of regret when I look at the candle I bought for $500 wrapped in "love" oils with the price tag still under it for $7.99. Oh well, it was an investment in my future happiness right?
